Day 5 of The Arrival of Love

Love Beyond the Season

Reading: Jeremiah 31:3; 1 John 4:19

As Christmas celebrations end and decorations come down, God's love remains constant. He loved you with an everlasting love long before you were born, and His love will never end. The arrival of Jesus wasn't just a historical event we commemorate once a year—it's an ongoing reality that should shape every day of our lives. Winter can be a difficult season for many people, filled with darkness, cold, and isolation. This is when the love of Christ shining through His people matters most. Don't pack away your compassion with the Christmas ornaments. Continue reaching out, continue caring, continue loving. We love because He first loved us. That love wasn't meant to be contained or hoarded; it was meant to flow through us to everyone we encounter. Let this Advent season mark a new beginning in how you love others—not just during the holidays, but every single day.

Reflection: What practical step will you take to extend God's love to others beyond the Christmas season?
