Day 3 of In Every Teaching...Truth

Growing Through God's Word

Reading: 2 Timothy 3:14-17 and Hebrews 5:11-14

Spiritual growth requires consistency. Just as physical muscles develop through regular exercise, our faith strengthens through consistent engagement with Scripture. Paul reminded Timothy—already well-educated in Scripture—to continue learning. The writer of Hebrews warned believers against spiritual laziness, noting they should have been teachers by now but still needed basic instruction. In the Christian life, we either move forward or slip backward; standing still is nearly impossible. God's Word teaches us truth, corrects our errors, and equips us for every good work. But growth requires more than hearing—it demands application. Charles Stanley reminds us that maturity comes from putting God's Word into practice. Today, commit to consistent time in Scripture, not just to gain knowledge, but to be transformed.
