Day 4 of In Every Conflict...Grace

Grace in Our Weakness

Reading: 2 Corinthians 12:7-10

Paul's "thorn in the flesh" wasn't removed despite his pleading. Instead, God offered something better: sufficient grace. Sometimes God's answer to our desperate prayers isn't removal of hardship but His empowering presence within it. Grace doesn't eliminate life's bumps, but it absorbs the shock, making them bearable. In your weakness, Christ's power is perfected. When you feel overwhelmed and unable to continue, that's precisely when God's grace becomes most evident. His strength fills the gaps your limitations create. Today, whatever thorn you're carrying—chronic pain, difficult relationships, financial stress, mental health struggles—invite God's grace to sustain you. His mercies are new every morning, and His faithfulness never fails.

Reflection: What "thorn" are you asking God to remove? How might His grace be sufficient even if it remains?
