Aligning Our Hearts with God's Will
Reading: Matthew 6:9-13; Psalm 37:3-7
The Lord's Prayer contains a revolutionary request: "May your will be done." How often do we approach prayer hoping God will align with our plans rather than surrendering to His? Prayer isn't about convincing God to bless our agenda; it's about aligning our hearts with His purposes. Like a compass pointing true north, prayer reorients us when we're spiritually disoriented. God often changes us before He changes our circumstances, giving us new perspective and maturity. Today, bring your desires to God, but hold them with open hands. Ask Him to transform your wants into His will, your perspective into His vision. Trust that the Parent knows what the child needs better than the child knows themselves. Surrender isn't defeat—it's the path to peace.
