Day 3 of Building Community

The Power of Praying Together

Reading: James 5:16; Acts 2:42

Prayer is the heartbeat of a unified church. When we pray together, we acknowledge our dependence on God and our need for each other. The early church was powerful because it was a praying people—connected vertically to God and horizontally to one another. Prayer breaks down barriers, aligns our hearts, and reminds us we're working for the same Kingdom. Don't let intimidation keep you from praying with others. God hears your heart, not your eloquence. When someone shares a burden, pause and pray right then. When you're struggling, invite someone to pray with you. These moments of shared dependence on God forge bonds that circumstances cannot break. A praying church is a united church, and your prayers matter more than you know.
