Day 5 of Hurt and Healing

You Belong to Something Bigger

Reading: Genesis 50:15-21; 1 Peter 5:10

Like a puzzle piece, you're uniquely shaped to fit into a bigger picture. Cutting off your edges to become "square" doesn't make you complete—connecting with the other pieces does. Joseph's story wasn't just about his personal healing; it was about preserving a nation and fulfilling God's covenant promises. Your healing matters not only for you but for the community God has placed you in. After you have suffered a little while, God will restore, support, and strengthen you, placing you on a firm foundation. The hurt you've experienced and the healing you're receiving equips you to minister to others. Your story of brokenness and restoration becomes part of God's greater redemptive work in the world.

Reflection: How might your journey through hurt and healing be part of a bigger picture than just your personal story? Who might God want you to encourage with what you've learned?
