Day 2 of Hope Breaks the Darkness

Hope Rests in God's Character

Reading: Romans 4:18-25; Hebrews 10:19-23

Abraham hoped against hope, not because circumstances looked promising, but because he trusted God's character. Like a child confident their parent will pick them up from school, we can rest in God's faithfulness. Yet we sometimes panic, forgetting His past provision. Simeon waited his entire life for God's promise, and God kept His word. The hope we have isn't wishful thinking—it's confidence in the One whose promises never fail. Look back at your journey. Where has God shown up for you? Those moments aren't accidents; they're evidence of His unchanging character. He who began a good work in you will complete it.

Reflection: What past faithfulness of God can anchor your hope today?
