Day 1 of Peace, Finding Rest in the Midst of Chaos

Peace in the Waiting

Reading: Isaiah 9:6-7

Isaiah prophesied about the Prince of Peace 700 years before Jesus arrived. During those centuries, God's people endured conquest, exile, and oppression. They waited through destruction and disappointment, wondering if peace would ever come. Perhaps you're in a season of waiting too—waiting for answered prayer, healing, or breakthrough. The peace Jesus brings isn't always immediate relief from circumstances. Instead, it's the assurance that God keeps His promises, even when the timeline doesn't match our expectations. The same God who faithfully sent Jesus after centuries of waiting is faithful in your waiting today. His peace sustains you not by removing the wait, but by reminding you that He is present in it.

Reflection: What are you waiting for God to do? How can you trust His faithfulness even in the delay?
