Day 2 of Temptation, Rejection, and Redemption

 The Danger of Unrepentant Hearts

Reading
: 1 Samuel 28:8-20; 1 Samuel 15:22-23

King Saul's tragic story warns us about the danger of fear without repentance. When confronted with his disobedience, Saul made excuses, blamed others, and ultimately sought answers through forbidden means. His response to sin was not sorrow over offending God, but fear of consequences. This reveals a heart that had turned from the Lord. True repentance is more than regret—it's a turning back to God with humility and honesty. When we sin, we have a choice: will we harden our hearts in self-justification, or will we soften them in genuine confession? God is not looking for perfection; He's looking for hearts that remain tender toward Him, even in failure.
