Day 2 of Don't Give Up

The Courage to See Others Differently

Reading
:  Acts 9:10-19; 1 Samuel 16:7

God asked Ananias to do the unthinkable: pray for his enemy. Ananias had every reason to fear Saul, but God saw something different—a chosen instrument. Our past experiences create lenses through which we view others, and sometimes those lenses distort truth. Failed relationships teach us not to trust. Cultural backgrounds create prejudices. But God looks at the heart.
Is there someone you've decided will never change? Someone you've written off or labeled? God is asking you to see them through His eyes. This doesn't mean ignoring wisdom or putting yourself in danger, but it does mean remaining open to God's transforming work in anyone's life. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord sees potential where we see impossibility. Pray today: "God, show me who I need to see differently."
