The Humble King
Reading: Luke 19:28-40
The crowd expected a warrior king riding a chariot, ready to overthrow Rome. Instead, Jesus chose a young donkey—the humblest entrance imaginable. This wasn't weakness; it was intentional. God's plans rarely match our expectations. Where we see power in force, God sees power in humility. Where we anticipate conquest, God offers sacrifice. The disciples missed what Jesus clearly told them because it didn't fit their vision. Today, ask yourself: Am I holding so tightly to my expectations that I'm missing what God is actually doing? Sometimes the most powerful move God makes looks nothing like what we imagined. His ways are higher, and His humble approach changes everything.
