Day 2 of When God's Plan Looks Like Disappointment
Missing What's Right in Front of Us
Reading: Luke 18:31-34
Jesus couldn't have been clearer. He told the disciples exactly what would happen—betrayal, mockery, death, resurrection. Yet verse 34 says they understood none of it. The meaning was hidden from them. How often do we miss God's clear direction because it doesn't align with our desires? The disciples wanted political liberation; God offered spiritual salvation. Their expectations created blindness. When life doesn't unfold as you planned, pause before assuming God forgot you. Perhaps He's doing something far greater than you can currently comprehend. Ask God to remove the filters of your expectations so you can see His truth clearly, even when it's difficult to accept.
