Day 5 of The Holy Spirit Living Within Us
Receiving the Gift
Reading: Acts 2:37-39 and Acts 10:44-48
Peter's message is clear: "Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." This promise extends to you, your children, and all whom the Lord calls. Throughout Acts, we see the Spirit given in various ways—sometimes before baptism, sometimes after, sometimes through laying on of hands. What remains constant is God's desire to fill His people with His presence. The Holy Spirit isn't reserved for super-spiritual Christians but is God's gift to every believer. Have you received this gift? If not, simply ask. God generously gives His Spirit to those who seek Him. Today, open your heart afresh to receive all God has for you.
