Day 3 of Beautiful and Qualified
You're Never Too Young or Too Old
Reading: Exodus 2:1-10; Luke 2:36-38
Miriam was just a young girl when God used her to protect Moses, the future deliverer of Israel. Anna was eighty-four years old, widowed for decades, yet she never considered herself done serving God. She remained faithful in the temple and was chosen to prophesy about the infant Jesus. Age is not a barrier to God's calling. Whether you feel too inexperienced or past your prime, God sees your availability, not your limitations. Young Miriam had courage; elderly Anna had faithfulness. Both were exactly what God needed at precisely the right moment. Your season of usefulness for God's kingdom never expires as long as you remain willing.
Reflection Question: How has your age (young or old) made you doubt God's ability to use you? What would change if you believed God values your faithfulness over your qualifications?
