Day 3 of Don't Give Up

 Becoming New in Christ

Reading
:  2 Corinthians 5:16-21; Ephesians 1:18-19

Anyone who belongs to Christ becomes a new person. The old life is gone; new life has begun. This isn't about behavior modification—it's complete transformation from the inside out. Paul prays that our hearts would be "flooded with light" so we can understand the confident hope we have in Christ.
Change requires letting go. Saul had to release his identity as a persecutor to embrace his calling as an apostle. What old beliefs, habits, or identities do you need to release? Becoming new doesn't happen instantly in every area, but it starts with surrender. God's goal isn't to make you slightly nicer—it's to completely remake you in Christ's image. This process can feel like a house renovation: messy, uncomfortable, revealing unexpected problems. But the result is worth it. Ask God to flood your heart with light today.
