Day 3 of When God's Plan Looks Like Disappointment

Disappointment Doesn't Mean Abandonment

Reading
: 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Paul reminds us that our present troubles are "light and momentary" compared to eternal glory. This doesn't minimize real pain—it reframes it. The disciples watching Jesus arrested felt devastated and abandoned. Their hope seemed crushed. Yet God hadn't forgotten them; Friday wasn't the end. When you face disappointment, remember: God never promised to fix everything here on earth. Injustice, sickness, loss—these grieve God's heart too. He doesn't cause every hardship to teach you lessons. Instead, He walks with you through it, working toward ultimate restoration in eternity. Your current chapter, however painful, isn't the conclusion. Fix your eyes on what is unseen and eternal.
