Day 5 of Finding Love in the Right Place

  Turning Your Eyes to Jesus

Reading
: Genesis 30:20; Hebrews 12:1-3; Psalm 73:25-28

After her fourth son, Leah finally declared, "This time I will praise the Lord." She named him Judah, meaning "praise." Her spiritual journey moved from seeking human approval to finding satisfaction in God alone. Yet even Leah faltered, later trading mandrakes for a night with Jacob. The moment we stop remembering God's faithfulness is the moment we feel unloved again. Spiritual growth is not linear. You will have Judah moments of pure worship and mandrake moments of grasping for earthly substitutes. The key is fixing your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith. When circumstances disappoint and people fail, He remains constant. Your worth is not determined by who chooses you, but by the One who already has. Today, choose praise over pursuit of human validation.
