Day 2 of Don't Stop

Obedience Doesn't Guarantee Comfort

Reading
:  Acts 4:1-7; John 16:33

Peter and John healed a man through God's power—an undeniably good act—yet faced immediate arrest and persecution. This reveals a crucial truth: obedience to God doesn't exempt us from trouble. Jesus Himself warned that in this world we will have trials. The source of opposition matters less than our faithfulness; even religious leaders opposed the disciples. When difficulty follows your obedience, don't interpret it as God's disapproval. The presence of trouble is not evidence you're on the wrong path. Instead, remember Jesus' promise: "Take heart, because I have overcome the world." Your current challenges don't define your spiritual standing. God's approval isn't measured by ease but by faithfulness. Today, if you're facing opposition while doing what's right, take courage. You're in good company with every faithful believer who has gone before you.
