Day 1 of Same God

Wrestling Into Your New Identity

Reading: Genesis 32:22-31

Jacob wrestled with God until dawn, refusing to let go without receiving a blessing. That night, his struggle left him with both a limp and a new name—Israel. Sometimes God allows us to wrestle with our past, our fears, and even with Him, not to defeat us but to transform us. Your struggles aren't signs of God's absence; they're often the very place where He's reshaping your identity. Like Jacob, you may walk away limping, carrying visible reminders of your encounter with God. But those scars testify that God has touched your life. What are you wrestling with today? Don't let go until you receive His blessing. God doesn't wait for perfection—He transforms us in the wrestling.

Reflection: What part of your identity needs God's transforming touch today?
