Day 2 of From Death to Resurrection

The Silence of Saturday

Reading
: Psalm 13:1-6

Saturday was silent. Jesus lay in the tomb while His followers waited in confusion and fear. The psalmist captures this feeling: "How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever?" Waiting is hard, especially when hope seems lost. The disciples didn't know Sunday was coming. Sometimes we live in Saturday—between the promise and the fulfillment, between the prayer and the answer. But Saturday isn't the end of the story. God was working even in the silence, even in the tomb. The same power that would raise Jesus was already at work. Your Saturday isn't abandonment; it's preparation. God hasn't forgotten you. Sunday is coming. Hold on.

Reflection Question: Where do you need to trust God's work in the silence?
