Day 2 of Beautiful and Qualified
You Qualify for God's Calling
Reading: Ruth 1:15-18; Ruth 4:13-17
Ruth seemed disqualified by every cultural standard—she was a foreigner, a widow, and from a nation Israel was told to avoid. Yet God didn't see her as second-class or "good enough for now." He fully accepted her, blessing her marriage to Boaz and placing her directly in the lineage of Jesus Christ. Your past, your background, your mistakes, or your perceived inadequacies do not disqualify you from God's purposes. He doesn't reluctantly use broken people; He intentionally chooses them. Whatever reasons you've given yourself for why God can't use you are simply incorrect. You qualify because He calls you, not because you're perfect.
Reflection Question: What "disqualifications" have you believed about yourself? How does Ruth's story challenge those beliefs?
