Day 3 of Same God

Surrendered for Purpose

Reading: Luke 1:26-38, 46-55

Mary's simple response changed history: "I am the Lord's servant. May everything you have said about me come true." She was young, lowly, and faced enormous social risk, yet she surrendered before she understood everything. Her faith wasn't passive—it was active obedience that made room for God's miraculous work. God still chooses the humble and willing over the powerful and proud. When you say yes to God, you're not signing up for convenience or comfort; you're making yourself available for His purposes. Like Mary, we can treasure what God is doing in our hearts even when others don't understand. Surrender isn't weakness—it's the posture that allows God to do the impossible through ordinary people.

Reflection: What is God asking you to surrender to Him today, even before you fully understand?
