Day 1 of Breakfast on the Beach
Meeting Jesus in Our Emptiness
Reading: John 15:1-8
The disciples fished all night and caught nothing. They were experienced fishermen, yet their efforts produced emptiness. How often do we exhaust ourselves trying to accomplish things in our own strength? Jesus reminds us that apart from Him, we can do nothing. When we abide in the vine, we bear much fruit. Your emptiness is not a sign of failure—it's an invitation to depend on Christ. He meets you right where you are, not after you've figured everything out. Today, identify one area where you're striving in your own strength. Surrender it to Jesus and ask Him to work through you instead of simply alongside you.
