Day 3 of God is Love
Both Just and Kind
Reading: Psalm 145:8-9; Romans 2:4-5
God's justice and kindness are not contradictory—they work together perfectly. Like a wise judge who removes a reckless driver from the road (justice serving kindness) while showing mercy to the repentant (kindness within justice), God's character holds both truths. His justice means He takes sin seriously because He loves you and others too much to let destruction continue unchecked. His kindness means He provided a way—through Jesus—for you to be made right with Him. Today, thank God that His justice led Him to deal with your sin at the cross, and His kindness led Him to offer you forgiveness freely. Rest in the perfect balance of His character.
