Courageous in God's Name
Reading: 1 Samuel 17:32-50
David didn't face Goliath because he was brave; he fought because someone dared to defy the living God. While everyone else saw an unbeatable giant, David saw an opportunity for God to display His power. He came "in the name of the Lord of heaven's armies," trusting that the battle belonged to God. You may not face a literal giant, but you have your own—fear, addiction, broken relationships, financial crisis, or health battles. The key isn't your strength or strategy; it's whose name you come in. When you fight for God's glory rather than your own victory, you tap into His power. God sees your heart, not just your resume. Stand courageously today, knowing the same God who defeated Goliath fights for you.
