Day 4 of Temptation, Rejection, and Redemption

Two Responses to Failure

Reading
: Matthew 27:3-5; Luke 22:54-62; John 21:15-19

Both Judas and Peter betrayed Jesus, yet their stories ended differently. Judas, overwhelmed with remorse, tried to fix his mistake by returning the money to the priests. When that failed, despair consumed him. Peter also felt crushing guilt after denying Christ three times, but he wept bitterly and ultimately returned to Jesus for restoration. The difference? Peter brought his failure to the Lord; Judas tried to resolve it himself. Many believers live in Judas-like despair because they cannot forgive themselves or believe God's grace is sufficient. But God is not waiting for you to fix yourself—He's waiting for you to come to Him, broken and honest, ready to receive His forgiveness and restoration.
