Day 3 of Pressing On With Humility

 Releasing Anxiety to the Captain

Reading
:    Philippians 4:4-7

"Do not be anxious" sounds impossible until we read the rest: "present your requests to God." Paul doesn't dismiss our struggles; he redirects them. Imagine yourself frantically steering a ship through a storm, refusing to rest because you must maintain control. God gently reminds you: you're not the captain. You're not even skilled at steering. Release the helm to the One who commands the winds and waves. Prayer isn't a last resort; it's the primary strategy. When anxiety grips your heart, name your fears before God. His peace—beyond human understanding—will guard your mind. This isn't passive resignation but active trust in a capable, loving Father.

Reflection: What situation are you trying to control that you need to surrender to God today?
