God's Bigger, Better Plan

Reading: Ezekiel 3:4-11

God called Ezekiel to minister to hardened, obstinate people who wouldn't listen. Not exactly an encouraging job description. Yet this was God's specific plan for him. Sometimes God's calling leads us to difficult places—not as punishment, but as purpose. The path you didn't choose, the door that closed, the opportunity that fell through—these aren't always mistakes. They may be God's protection or redirection toward something better. The pastor who wanted to work in a church found his true ministry in oil sands mines, reaching men who would never enter a sanctuary. Your disappointment might be God's appointment. Trust that He's positioning you exactly where you need to be, even when it makes no sense.
