The Battlefield of the Mind
Reading: Romans 8:5-17; 2 Corinthians 10:3-5
Paul acknowledges the reality we all face: sinful desires still war within us. The victory isn't won through willpower alone—it's won on the battlefield of the mind. What are you setting your mind on? The mind set on flesh pursues death; the mind set on the Spirit experiences life and peace. The Holy Spirit doesn't just give you rules to follow—He changes your desires from the inside out. He reminds you who you are: not a slave to sin, but a beloved son or daughter crying "Abba, Father!" When orphan thoughts arise—comparison, fear of failure, trying to earn God's favor—the Spirit arrests you and says, "Remember who you are." Today, surrender one persistent thought pattern to the Holy Spirit and ask Him to renew your mind.
