God Is Light and God Is Love
Reading: 1 John 1:5; 1 John 4:7–8
These verses remind us that God’s nature is pure, loving, and free of darkness. When we face hardship, it’s easy to assume God is behind it, but Scripture reassures us that evil does not originate in Him. Instead, His identity is love. Let this truth settle your heart today: God’s character is steady even when life is not. Reflect on any areas where you’ve misunderstood His heart, and ask Him to heal those misconceptions. Practically, choose one way to show love to someone today, reflecting the God who loves you first.
