Day 3 of Producing Fruit

The Son Who Was Sent

Reading
: John 3:16-17; Romans 5:6-8

In the parable, the father sends his son believing the tenants will show him respect. What the father in the story does not do is send his son without full knowledge of the risk. God, the Father, sent His Son into a world that had already demonstrated its willingness to reject and destroy His messengers. This was not a miscalculation. This was love at its most costly. The stone the builders rejected became the cornerstone. What the world meant as an ending, God designed as a foundation. The rejected one became the most essential one. This is the gospel in a single image.

Reflection: How does the reality of what Christ willingly entered change the way you understand His love for you personally?
