Day 5 of Producing Fruit
Sharpening Your Focus
Reading: Matthew 28:18-20; Philippians 3:12-14; Colossians 3:1-4
The sermon closed not with a call to do more but with a call to refocus. Paul wrote in Philippians of pressing on toward the goal, straining forward, refusing to be distracted by what lies behind. Colossians calls us to set our minds on things above. Focus is not passive. It is a daily decision to return your gaze to what matters most. The mission Jesus left us is clear: go and make disciples. Not occasionally. Not when it is convenient. As a way of life. The measure of a vineyard is its harvest. The measure of a follower of Christ is the fruit that remains.
Reflection: What is currently competing most aggressively for your focus, and how is it affecting your fruitfulness for the kingdom?
